That night a group of us left the hotel to gather in the Distrito del Sol at the Burrito Mercado and listened to presentations about the work of low-power stations. Aptly entitled: Size Doesn’t Matter, hearing about the accomplishments of these low watt, but truly localized, stations was awe-inspiring.
Also that evening, Music by Mariachi Flor y Canto greeted conference attendees that evening as they entered a room whose tall windows gave a 360-degree view of the mighty Mississippi River. It was a breathtaking panorama made more spectacular by the soundtrack of mariachis and Native drums, chants and songs.
